How to Schedule an Appointment
The easiest way to schedule your appointment is by clicking the "book now" button at the top of the page. If the time slots available are not what you had in mind, please call us at 203-622-0591 and we will try our best to accommodate your request. Walk-ins are still welcome, although appointments are highly recommended to eliminate waiting.
If you are looking to try on a variety of shoes to get an idea and are not ready to purchase a pair, that's okay! We’re glad to loan you our expertise. There is a fitting fee of $35 for these appointments in lieu of purchase.
In preparation for your first fitting, please wear convertible tights and make sure your nails are neatly trimmed. It is important for our fitters to see the shape of your foot as well as the alignment of your ankles and legs on pointe.
During your fitting, we will evaluate technique, flexibility, and strength. We'll also go over your goals as well as teacher recommendations and class objectives to help guide us to the perfect fit!
After the fitting, we will discuss the pointe shoe how-tos (i.e. pointe shoe sewing/modifications, how to properly break in the shoe, and overall pointe shoe care and storage) and go over any additional questions the dancers or their guardians may have.
Take your new shoes to class un-sewn for your teacher’s inspection and instruction on how he/she prefers you to position the ribbon and elastic. We can exchange unworn shoes in the condition they were sold.
Whether you're getting the same style of pointe shoes, trying a different style of shoes or being fit at our store for the first time we recommend booking your fitting through the "Book Now" button at the top of the page. When booking your appointment please take advantage of the "Notes for Your Fitter" section on our form so we can prepare for your arrival.
If you have been fitted before, please bring your previous shoes, as well as any padding and other pointe accessories you have, so our fitters have a better understanding of how your shoes break in and your pointe shoe history.
If you have an injury or are recovering from one, please let us know. You may need a different strength shoe than you normally wear. We ay have recommendations for you to help ease your recovery while you continue your doctor's protocol.
Special Ordering
While we stock a large variety of pointe shoes to accommodate as many dancers as we can, we may not carry a shank strength, size, or style that you prefer. We are happy to special order a pointe shoe for you – just let us know! We are constantly assessing makers and styles to ensure we have the best shoe options in stock to suit the needs of our dancers.

Pointe shoe discounts apply to both online and in-store purchases, and are valid only for in-stock items. Full payment is required at the time of order and all volume discount sales are final.
